Alexei Ramirez had two hits and two RBI and Brian Anderson homered for Chicago, which got a two-inning, four-strikeout scoreless start from Wes Whisler.

Luke Hughes, of the Twins organization, went 2-for-3 with a triple, run scored and an RBI for Australia.
